We are looking for a responsible and highly motivated Sales Manager who will significantly contribute to the expansion of fielddrive's business worldwide.  He/she will be a driving force and ready to take on all aspects of supporting the global sales team. Our ideal candidate will deliver a professional representation to customers, and uphold the ideals and standards of fielddrive. The successful Sales Manager will constantly strive to meet all sales goals and exceed customer expectations.

This position reports directly to the VP Sales & Business Development.


  • Qualify inbound leads from our website and industry events we attend.

  • Prepare client proposals for new business, and carry out duly follow-up in order to close deals.

  • Engage in prospection and cold-calling sales activity to build a pipeline of new opportunities.

  • Manage data integrity of CRM system for new sales business on a daily basis.

  • Build strong relationships within sales and project management teams, as well as with the business at large.

  • Display enthusiasm, build high morale, and promote a friendly group-working environment.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to and be a strong advocate of the Company’s core values.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, in support of event deployments or for client/partner meetings

  • Working from home possible, with regular office presence in Willebroek, Belgium (near Brussels), as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of five years of sales and/or business development experience required.

  • Persuasive and able to convert leads and opportunities to actual sales and recurring revenue.

  • Must have experience in -and understanding of- the events ecosystem at large, either on the supplier side (hardware or software), or as an events organiser (corporate, asociation, PCO, tradeshow).

  • Comfortable with events technology, and familiar with key industry trends.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

  • CRM and Proposal Management software experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated team player with a positive “Can-Do” attitude towards change and ability to adapt to changing company and/or client needs.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with tact, diplomacy and maturity with all levels of management internally, as well as with vendors and customers,

  • Ability to work with little supervision, confident, motivated and a self-starter.

  • Proficiency in several languages an advantage.
